Exit 63 Master Plan Overview
Overview:
Potential new development in the Route 26 and Route 202 corridors, west of the Maine Turnpike and near exit 63 may present opportunities for growth, but these areas also have the potential to negatively affect mobility along these corridors if not properly considered. There is a need, therefore, to understand the functional importance of these mobility corridors, the land uses adjacent to these areas, and the potential economic development opportunities. The purpose of the study is to develop a plan along the key highway corridors west of the Maine Turnpike in the Town of Gray in order to preserve the regional mobility through the implementation of sound land use and access management planning measures.
